Ansaldo and NIOC ink MoU for 600MW gas-fired project in Iran

Italian power company Ansaldo Energia has signed an agreement with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to develop electricity generation using natural gas being burned off in South Pars Gas Field. The first phase of the project aims at generating 600MW rising to 1GW in the second phase.
