Saudi Arabia plans 9 desalination projects on Red Sea coast

The Saudi Arabian environment minister has announced plans to build nine desalination plants on the Red Sea Coast to increase water production at the government-owned Saudi Saline Water Conversion Corp (SWCC). The $530 million programme is to be completed in less than 18 months.
