US solar panel import tariff may benefit Indian projects

In a bid to offer protection to the foreign-owned US solar panel manufacturers Suniva and SolarWorld, the US government has imposed an initial 30% tariff on imported modules, which steps down to 15% by the fourth year. Up to 2.5GW of unassembled solar cells can still be imported annually...
