EBRD still funding Azerbaijan pipeline despite transparency rift

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) still plans to lend $500 million towards the $40 billion Southern Gas Corridor project that will bring Azeri gas to Europe. This follows Azerbaijan's withdrawal from the international oil-wealth transparency watchdog EITI.
