Banks call for relaxation of leveraged loan rules

Banks are calling for US regulators to relax guidelines created in 2013 that curb their underwriting of leveraged loans. They argue that the rules have not had an impact on loan volume or investor appetite but have allowed less regulated alternative lenders to grab a bigger market share.
